Muslims object to the idea that God has a son. The religion of Islam teaches that God has servants not children. The word begotten means to sire or to produce a child through a sexual act. The human being begets children, not God almighty. God creates, he does not procreate. We procreate to continue the existence of the human beings on earth. God Almighty never dies so why would He need a son or children? I often wonder if Christians really understand what they are saying when they say that Jesus is the begotten son of God? They are saying that God had sex to produce Jesus. The next question would be who did God have sex with? Muslims believe that Jesus was created by God, not begotten. Thirty- two Christian Scholars, assisted by an advisory committee representing fifty co-operating denominations recognized that the word begotten was a fabrication and should not be referenced to God. They decided to remove the word begotten in John 3:16. In the Revised Standard Version Bible (RSV) John 3:16 now reads; For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. They removed the word “begotten” because they know that this word cannot be attributed to God. This is what God says in the Quran about the so-called begotten son.
Quran 19:88-93 They say: "(God) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, that they should invoke a son for God Most Gracious. For it is not consonant with the majesty of (God) Most Gracious that He should beget a son. Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (God) Most Gracious as a servant.
Quran 6:101 To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort? He created all things, and He hath full knowledge of all things.
Quran 2:116 They say: "God hath begotten a son”: Glory be to Him.-Nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: everything renders worship to Him.
Quran 10:68 They say: "God hath begotten a son!" - Glory be to Him! He is self-sufficient! His are all things in the heavens and on earth! No warrant has ye for this! say ye about God what ye know not?
Quran 18:4-5 Further, that He may warn those (also) who say, "God hath begotten a son": No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying. What they say is nothing but falsehood!
