Note: Jesus is conveying what all of God’s Prophets and Messengers have conveyed to mankind. They told their people that the first and most important commandment is to believe that God is one. Jesus said that the Lord our God, meaning that God is his Lord also.

3- John 17:3 And this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
Note: In this verse it clearly shows a distinct difference between Jesus Christ and God. How can anyone claim that Jesus is God after reading this verse? Jesus is recognizing that God is One and it is God who has sent him as a Messenger.

4- John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come [again] unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
Note:  This shows that Jesus and God are in no way equal as some Christians claim.

5- Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou for saken me? Note: If Jesus is God, who is he calling out to?
6- Acts 2:22 King James Version Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

7- Matthew 23:9 And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Note: Where was Jesus standing when he made this statement? He was standing on earth. So we are not to call Jesus our father and definitely not our God.
One of the best proofs that I will give that Jesus Christ did not look at himself as God or a part of God lies in the Lord’s Prayer. If one would reflect on the true meaning of this prayer, you will see that Jesus Christ was teaching his followers what all of the prophets taught their people, God is One, He has no partner, and He is above the heavens. Let’s take a look.
